Enjoy a week deepening your yoga practice, immersing yourself in the rich Turkish culture, exploring the sites of ancient civilizations, feasting on phenomenal cuisine, and swimming in the azure warm waters of the Mediterranean. Each morning we will have a guided meditation and pranayama practice followed by a long asana exploration. Late afternoon offers a yin style restorative class. Midweek optional excursion is to the local Fethiye farmer’s market, a slice of local culture. (Attila will guide & translate for all who wish to acquire souvenirs from the colorful local vendors.)
Yuva Resort is a rare find only 2 hours from the international airport of Dalaman on Turkey’s southern coast, yet worlds away from the touristy towns. Our traditional Anatolian style cottages with views of the sea are nestled among terraces of olive, citrus and carob trees. Pines surround the area and paths weave through native herbs to our private swimming cove. Our host Attila, and his family, offer us warm Turkish hospitality with delicious meals of locally grown organic vegetarian food prepared in the traditional Turkish style. We will have a cooking class so you can go home with recipes to recreate some of your favorite dishes of the week!

Peggy's eclectic artistic background has paved the way to her deep connection to yoga. She started her practice with classical ballet training at age nine and went on to dance and choreograph professionally in New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco through her mid-twenties. At 23, she threw away her pointe shoes in favor of modern dance and now credits yoga for healing her poor feet. After a successful career in choreography and performance art, Peggy started her family and discovered yoga. With small children, she didn't have time to take 4 hours of dance classes every day, so yoga was a perfect solution. Beginning with Ashtanga, she spent four years practicing with Chuck Miller at YogaWorks in Santa Monica and then went on to study with Rod Stryker, Erich Schiffman, Paul Grilley, and Tim Miller. Peggy has been teaching since 1992. She brings her delightful humor and attention to the breath to a challenging practice meant to open all her students to their true selves.
